By now you've hopefully seen some of my favourite images and formed an opinion regarding my work.
It's a fun but competitive job being a photographer in this digital era. I've been a freelancing photographer since the days of film and developing rolls of B&W in my shed.
I love these modern times of digital Nikon//Apple Mac equipment.
I can use Profoto studio lighting and hire a large studio.
98% of my work is through word of mouth.
My husband and I started Truelove Studios 15 years ago.
He is a digital workflow specialist in the TV-film-doco industry and my trusty tech dude, he's been integral in helping me deliver my work. His arm of the family business is Truelove Tech https://twitter.com/truelovetech

I love photography and started with my first camera at age 19 when I went travelling after high school. I landed in Sydney, a place of great beauty and opportunity.
Early in my career I worked in various press agencies and media outlets as a photographer, photo assistant, photo researcher and photo editor in places such as Australian Associated Press, The Australian Magazine, Big Australia, Austral International and Rex Features.
As well I worked on film sets as a camera assistant and stills photographer. I still love shooting stills.
I've had images published in magazines and newspapers all over the globe, from the Sydney Morning Herald to the Guardian. I was the official photographer for the iconic Bondi View newspaper in its formative years.
I trained at TAFE Darlinghurst and the Australian Centre for Photography in Paddington as well as several courses over the years. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Creative Writing and am currently studying a Master of Teaching at Macquarie University.
As a freelancer, I'm interested in many things, happy to try new types of photography. I would like to create photo essays that educate and contribute to anthropology. I'm crazy about street photography and love iphoneography, I will be teaching classes in the near future.
I need to hear your ideas so I can use that spark to create the fire. Anyone can take photos. The challenge is to collaborate and be an artist.

I love variety and can deliver many types of photography - from family portraits to press conferences. I have loads of experience shooting famous people, but I'm equally suited to newborns, local sports, politics, publicity material. I would have to say my favourite is portraiture and documentary.
Please contact me for a chat if you're thinking about commissioning photos and have an idea. I love helping real people accomplish their photographic dreams on a realistic budget.
